A little word of explanation here - I have switched to a different brand of paint that I discovered at my local art store (Coastal Art Supply in Beaufort). The brand is M. Graham and I absolutely love it because it stays wet and workable for so long (the colors are true as well). The only drawback is that there are certain times when one needs to apply a dark color over a light area without disturbing it. So I have had to put aside the "tourists" for a bit before I can finish it. I began a new picture of some beach houses but have not even covered the canvas yet - in this case I believe I won't have have a waiting period because there won't be those type of areas and the slow drying time will come in quite handy.
