another beautiful day
I worked outside again today and nearly finished the very complicated garden picture I started yesterday. The light on the bay is wonderful at nearly seven and I might move from inside work to something on the porch for an hour or so. I will add another picture from the past (one that I have done recently and have photographed). The spot is Sakonnet Point, a very wonderful house on the south coast in a small R.I. town named Little Compton which is quite near where I live. There is a small lobster fleet that calls the place home.

A hot June day here in Hew England
Now that I have figured out the photo thing it doesn't seem like such a chore to do this......at least not frustrating. I worked outside in the backyard today. I am studying greens by looking at the profusion of them in the garden. I also began a larger (24X30) piece from some outdoor work.......a ship with a figure approaching. I have been thinking about the composition for some time. I live near New Bedford which has a working pier. I am adding a portrait today even though I did it more than a month ago, I just couldn't get it to upload. Maybe I will catch up soon.

Well, I am back from the Carolinas and painting at home again.............the weather was wonderful and I did have some time to do some small landscapes. I am going to work on taking some decent photos taken and posted...........until that that time I will post some portrait sketches.
