end of the road - 10" square

Can you tell it's winter here? This is the view a block down from my house. I love the way you can find an interesting subject to paint in the glow of the sun on simple road slush............I mean it has everything.

Did you paint this one outside? I tried to go out the other day and paint snow from my car but couldn't find anyplace (with a view) to park. The lots were never plowed.

Love how you've embraced the weather in your recent paintings! This one is so real and immediate.

Thanks guys.........no, Kathy, I see the scene all the time and mentally painted it but had to rely on a photo. My neighborhood is filled with enormous snow piles that are frozen like cement. Being on the water, the wind never quits either, so I am inside at the moment....I bet Providence is even worse. It was -8 when I got up this morning!
