I have been busy reconstructing a beach picture and am uncertain whether I will finish or not today so I decided to post an older pastel of some fishing boats. I did pastel for several years but returned to my first love - oils. It is going to rain here for the next day or so and is damp and chilly in addition to raining, very gloomy.Tuesday 27 October 2009

Love the light and shadow on the boats. Plus the colors work so well. I discovered your blog and am reading all of them. I am a retired graphic artist and now back to painting watercolor and oils as well. I really like the water based oils. I teach watercolor at our local senior center and also oils. Your paintings inspire!
